One day, as a storm started blowing strong winds, the leader decided to stick a pole on the sea floor with his boat attached to it. In fear of being blown by the winds, the other villagers tied their boats to their leader. It turned out that the pole got stuck on the nose of a giant stingray and the people were dragged into where they are now, Tawi-Tawi. Nature challenges us, but it also sustains us, and leads us home. Featured in this illustration are the rich marine biodiversity found in Tawi-Tawi bay, from sea turtles, butterfly fishes to its blooming coral reefs.</span></p> <p><span>This illustration is one of the artworks to be featured and sold at the “Back to Nature: Conservation on Canvas” exhibit by the Foundation for the Philippine Environment (FPE) and Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan (AngInK).
